Who this is for

This planner is for small business owners, freelancers and one-person marketing teams who know they should be marketing more consistently but keep losing the thread. It is also useful if you have been posting everywhere with no clear result and want to narrow your focus to one campaign and a few channels.

You do not need a marketing background. The pages ask plain questions and leave space for your own answers.

How to use it

Set aside an hour for the first session, then use a short weekly check-in to keep the plan alive.

  1. Set up (about an hour). Complete the goals, audience, campaign and channel pages in order. Write rough answers first; you can refine them after a day.
  2. Collect ideas. Use the content ideas page to list more posts or messages than you need. Mix helpful content, proof and invitations to act.
  3. Fill the calendar. Give every day one small task and one channel. If a day looks heavy, move something rather than skipping the plan.
  4. Check in weekly (about 15 minutes). Record your numbers, what worked and what you will change next week.
  5. Close the month. Complete the results page, then decide what to start, stop and continue in the next 30 days.

Printing tips

The planner is designed for US Letter paper with generous margins. On A4 paper, choose "Fit to page" in the print dialog and the layout will scale cleanly. Backgrounds are kept white and colors are light, so it prints well in black and white and uses very little ink. Print only the pages you need, and reprint any page you want to redo.

Why 30 days, one campaign and few channels?

Marketing results usually come from consistency, and consistency is easier when the plan is small. One campaign with one clear offer is easier to explain, easier to measure and easier to improve than five half-finished ones. Choosing two or three channels, rather than all of them, lets you stay present long enough to learn what works. Our article on mastering one channel explains the thinking, and planning a month of posts in one day shows how to turn your calendar into finished content.

Choosing goals you can measure

A useful goal has a number and a date. Instead of "get more customers", try a count you can check: new email subscribers, enquiries received, orders placed, calls booked or reviews collected. Write your starting number first. Without it you cannot tell whether you improved. When the month ends, you can calculate what the campaign returned with the Marketing ROI Calculator.

Frequently asked questions

Is the planner really free?

Yes. There is no payment, email signup or account. Download the PDF and print it. It is free to print and use for your own business. If you would like to share it, please link to this page.

Do I need to fill in every page?

No. The goals, campaign and calendar pages do most of the work. Skip any page that does not fit your situation, and reprint pages you want to repeat.

Can I use it for a campaign longer than 30 days?

Yes. Treat each 30 days as one cycle. Use the results page at the end of the month to set up the next cycle.

What if I have no marketing budget?

The planner has a budget box for each campaign and zero is a valid answer. Many activities, such as email, content and partnerships, cost time rather than money.
